Private chapel in Villa Forni Cerato

For a few decades I housed a small domestic oratory inside, built by Count Carlo Barbieri, owner of the building. In 1803 the Episcopal Curia invited the parish priest Don Carlo Piva to come and check the site to ascertain whether it met all the required standards. Subsequently, the Piva released his description, completely compling with the rules, with a beautiful altar and the necessary furnishings; two days later, the Curia released its clearance to celebrate. On August 5, 1824 the pastoral visit of the bishop of #Vicenza Giuseppe Maria Peruzzi (pictured) still attested to the presence of the oratory.#villafornicerato#oratorio#montecchioprecalcino
