I am preparing for my first major conservative restoration. It doesn’t scare me, on the contrary, it gives me relief and satisfaction! The internal props were installed on each of the three floors and an intermediate floor was even created on the attic floor to “operate” the roof slab from the right distance. By the end of the month I will be hidden behind external scaffoldings, which will allow the operators to carefully clean and consolidate the plaster on the four facades. In my beautiful loggia, the operations to stop the decay of frescoes are already underway, and so I will finally be able to show the beauty of my wall paintings. It is the first time that someone has taken care of my health in a relevant, organic and far-sighted way. After this surgical operation, I will be able to show my 450 years with elegance and refinement.
